The new season is about to start soon – but Ladies-Skijumping.com will not do news coverage on it in the used way.

It was a tough decision for me, Chief Editor Stefan Diaz, and for Site Owner Tadeusz Mieczyński, but finally we decided to quit running Ladies-Skijumping.com in the known format. When we started the website years ago, it was our aim and the purpose of the site, to promote the sports and to help it getting a World Cup and becoming part of the Olympic program. Those goals have been reached, our mission is accomplished.

With the success of the sports, traveling costs and the efforts to run the site increased. But as other media, including TV, started to cover the sports also, the public interest in the website decreased over the time. Although we love the sports and never ran the site for money, we simply came to the point where we have to cut down on things.

I remember very well Continental Cup competitions that took place years ago, when I was the only reporter on site. Not to loose these articles, that are a great document about the early days of this sports, we will keep the current site online as an archive.

The Ladies-Skijumping.com home page will be re-launched as a picture repository in the next few days. It will not only include all existing photo galleries, but also be updated in the future with pictures from selected competitions. So keep us bookmarked and visit us from time to time.

Finally we would like to thank all athletes, coaches, officials and competition's organizers for the good cooperation over the years!
